EXHAUSTS

Your exhaust system consists of a series of pipes and boxes specially designed to channel emissions away from the front of the vehicle, reduce engine noise and maintain optimum fuel efficiency.

If there is a hole in the system, then the sound waves are no longer forced through the tubes and escape through the hole, severely increasing the noise level and the amount of toxic fumes that are released into the air.

Your vehicle will also fail its MoT test if the exhaust system has a fault resulting in incorrect emissions levels being recorded or has a hole in it resulting in a leak of gases. And if the Police feel that your vehicle is blowing out excessive levels of smoke, or is too loud, your car can be taken off the road.

For best practice and to keep your vehicle in ideal condition, we recommend you have your vehicle emission and exhaust system checked at least twice a year for cracks, leaking joints, broken hangers, worn rubber mountings, corrosion, failed gaskets and high levels of pollutant gasses.
